Refund Policy

The Asian Journal of Research in Economics and Finance (AJREF) maintains a transparent refund policy to ensure fairness and clarity for authors. As an open-access journal, fees (if any) are typically charged to cover publication and processing costs. The following guidelines apply:

1. Non-Refundable Fees

All Article Processing Charges (APC) or publication fees paid to the journal are non-refundable once the manuscript enters the production or publication process. These fees cover administrative, editorial, and technical services already rendered.

2. Refund Before Processing

If an author decides to withdraw the manuscript before the editorial screening and peer review process begins, and the APC has already been paid, a partial refund may be issued.
The journal may deduct a small administrative fee to cover initial handling costs.

3. No Refund for Rejected Articles

If a manuscript is rejected after peer review, the APC is not refunded because significant editorial and reviewer efforts have already been invested.

4. Duplicate or Accidental Payment

In cases where authors accidentally make a duplicate payment, the extra amount will be fully refunded upon verification.

5. Refund in Case of Journal Error

If an article is withdrawn or removed due to an error attributable to the journal (e.g., technical or editorial mistake), a full or partial refund may be considered at the discretion of the editorial office.

6. No Refund After Publication

Once an article has been published online, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

7. Refund Request Procedure

To request a refund, authors must:

  • Submit a formal email to the editorial office

  • Provide proof of payment and the related transaction details

  • Mention the reason for requesting the refund

Processing time for approved refunds is typically 10–20 working days.
