Archiving Policy

Asian Journal of Research in Economics and Finance (AJREF) ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. To safeguard scholarly work against loss, corruption, or discontinuation, the journal follows the archiving practices below:

1. Digital Preservation
All published articles are securely stored in multiple digital repositories to ensure long-term availability. These repositories maintain redundant backups to prevent data loss.

2. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)
AJREF participates in the PKP Preservation Network, which provides free preservation services for OJS-based journals. Through PKP PN, published content is archived in a distributed network of validated servers.

3. LOCKSS / CLOCKSS
The journal supports preservation through LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS, enabling libraries and institutions to create permanent, decentralized archives of journal content.

4. Institutional Repositories
Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit their published articles in their institutional or subject-based repositories immediately upon publication, ensuring wider reach and preservation.

5. Self-Archiving Policy
   AJREF allows authors to archive:

   • Pre-print versions (before peer review)

   • Post-print versions (peer-reviewed, accepted manuscripts)

   • Publisher’s final PDF (after publication)

Authors may deposit these versions in repositories, personal websites, or academic networks such as ResearchGate or Academia.edu, with proper citation.

6. Website Backups
The journal performs regular backups of all editorial and published content. These backups are securely stored to ensure recovery in the event of technical failure.
